Leadership Team

Rev. Neil Lachlan Macdonald

‘Lachie’ has been the Minister of the Lochbroom and Coigach congregation since September 2017. Originally from Inverness, but with a family heritage in Coigach, Lachie is married to Catherine Joan (CJ) and they have two children. When Lachie is not in the study, preaching or serving the wider church, you can probably find him tinkering with his vintage Massey Ferguson, or driving some form of heavy machinery.

Martin Cunningham

A native of the Island of Scalpay, Martin works locally at the pier, is married to local lass Margaret and has two daughters.  When Martin is not found doing just about everything you can imagine at the church, you can probably find him running, and running, and running some more through the wilderness beauty of Wester Ross.

David Renwick

David is a local farmer and has been a lifelong part of the congregation. Husband to Linda, father of two, grandfather to four, shepherd to countless sheep, stockman to many cattle and master to a few dogs, leaving little time for David to squeeze anything else in!

Murdo Urquhart

Murdo is our longstanding precentor and composer of the well-known and loved psalm tune ‘Lochbroom’ which conveys the sense of the rise and fall of the sea, written as he plied his trade of many years, fishing prawns in The Minch and Lochbroom. A lifelong member of the congregation Murdo is married to Joan, with a family of three and four grandchildren.
